Ask The Stylist EP22: How To Take Care Of Bleached Hair?
If you've ever been curious to get a change of look for your hair then you've most probably tried or read up on bleaching your own hair. We asked our senior stylist Edward Kim down at Dusol Beauty to come up with some tips to help all of us when it comes to bleaching our own hair at home.
If you're looking for some form of validation about the safety of bleaching your hair at home then you won't find the answer here, because the answer is still sadly, yes, your hair will be damaged. However, that's why Edward is here to tell us how we can still keep our hair safe and soft after bleaching.
If you've bleached your hair at home, there are some steps you have to follow to ensure your hair won't fall out (yes you heard that correctly) or be damaged as much.
After shampooing and conditioning your hair, make sure to put a treatment in your hair and leave it in for at least 5 minutes.
After rinsing the treatment out, apply the leave-in treatment after your shower and proceed to blow dry.
And finally after blow drying, apply hair essence.
With all these steps, your hair will definitely be left feeling smooth and manageable even after a bleaching session. We know it sounds like a lot, but it's a small price to pay for beautiful silky bleached hair.
In summary:
- Shampoo
